How FACETITE Works

FaceTite is a safe non-surgical procedure that delivers radiofrequency energy deep into the skin. This means the RF energy and heat are highly controlled and delivered with precision.  A FaceTite cannula is inserted in the treatment area and then the radiofrequency energy flows outward from that cannula toward an external electrode. This procedure is performed exclusively by Dr. Brazzo.  He and his expert staff ensure you are comfortable for the entire treatment. That means that treatment areas will be numbed via local and tumescent anesthesia.  A small hidden incision is made where the cannula is inserted.  The treatment is under one hour and patients.  Deep anesthesia is not needed.

What to expect with FACETITE

FaceTite is a minimally invasive, non-surgical treatment which means that it doesn’t have many of the downsides that come with traditional facelift surgery, like extended downtime, stitches, and scars.
Unlike some of the other radiofrequency treatments, patients typically see results from FaceTite quite quickly. It could be as soon as immediately or after a few days. Results will continue to improve over time and can last for up to five years.
Furthermore, FaceTite can be paired with other procedures for enhanced results.
FaceTite is ideal for areas throughout the face including:
  • Chins
  • Jowls
  • Cheeks
In fact, patients are using FaceTite for:
  • Firming and tightening the skin
  • Stimulating collagen production>
  • Treating the signs of aging in the face

Am I a Candidate For FACETITE?

A minimally invasive facelift using FaceTite® is recommended for patients who have wrinkles and creases that are caused by laxity. It is also a treatment of choice to sculpt the jawline and reduce excess fat pads under the chin.  Dr. Brazzo may also recommend the procedure for those who do not wish to undergo facelift surgery.
Some patients should not undergo a FaceTite procedure.  This would be anyone who is pregnant or has an indwelling electronic device (e.g., pacemaker).
Patients with significant areas of facial fat atrophy need to be carefully treated by an aesthetic surgeon, who fully understands the facial anatomy, and age-related fat pad deflations.  The powerful RF energy can cause thermolipolysis, which is helpful for the fatty jowls or submental fat pads.  However, areas of significant fat loss should not be heavily treated or it will worsen atrophic age-related disruption of more youthful fat contours. Dr. Brazzo will review these issues during the initial consultation.

What Should I Expect During FACETITE Recovery?

The average downtime for a FaceTite® treatment is only a few days. During the first 48-72 hours, you will wear a compression garment and need to stay home from work and rest. You can resume normal activities after two to three days.  Common symptoms for a few days after a FaceTite® procedure are mild swelling, tenderness, and discomfort. In most cases, any discomfort can be managed with over-the-counter Tylenol.
Considerable improvement in skin tightness and contouring is seen in the first few months then continues to improve the most in 6 months.

How Long Does FACETITE Last?

The results keep improving for up to 6 months when collagen remodeling, fat reduction, and skin tightening peak.  The results are long-lasting, and fat will not return.  As the years go on, aging changes will occur, but not regress to the skin condition prior to the procedure.  Each person’s body ages differently. Dr. Brazzo will recommend a schedule of follow-up appointments to monitor the results.
